Below is everything you need to know for band registration as both a New Member and a Returning Member of The Raider Band!

New Members

All new members of the program will attend Band Registration Day (more info below) in addition to the following group-specific camps:

Order your gear at Registration & Audition Day

Each member of the program needs certain equipment to participate in band. Most of these items only need to e purchased once and can be used for a student’s entire time in the program. Our amazing Band Booster Organization facilitates ordering these items for our students.

The items below are required for all member. Returning Members will need to purchase any individual items they may need to replace. New Members will order their required geear in the form of a New Member Starter Kit that includes all of the required items below. We are still locking in our pricing for this coming year, but Starter Kits will be between $160-180 for Winds and Percussion members and roughly $350 for Color Guard members.

  • Sports Physicals (Required)

    Per UIL rules, students must now provide a sports physical and medical history in order to participate in marching band activities. Every member of the program will need to have a physical exam completed and turn in a physical form with medical history to the band staff before they will be allowed to participate in marching band/color guard activities in July.

    Students will have an opportunity to get their physical done at NGHS on [DATE & TIME]. Information about where to report and how much the physical will cost.

  • Summer Camps

    Make sure you've subscribed to our Google Calendar and are signed up to our Band App to stay up to date on all of our events throughout the year, beginning with our summer camps.

  • Private Lessons

    All band members are encouraged to take advantage of our private lesson program. Lessons are incredibly beneficial to every student regardless of their current talent level. Private Lessons help students grow and improve individually, which is the fastest way for our band to grow and improve as a whole.
